Real progress begins with people. We are committed to making a lasting impact in Chandrapur and Gadchiroli, focusing on what truly matters- education, healthcare, sustainability, and livelihoods.
Our approach is simple: empower, uplift, and create opportunities. Whether it's supporting students, improving healthcare access, or driving environmental initiatives, we put communities first. Because when people thrive, progress follows.
Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Our mission is to bridge the gap in medical access by delivering quality, equitable, and free healthcare services to those in need.
From prosthetic hand and leg distribution to menstrual hygiene education, eye checkups, HIV testing, and blood pressure screenings, we actively promote preventive healthcare. Through Lloyds Kali Ammal Memorial Hospital, we ensure access to top-tier medical services at no cost. Strengthening Healthcare Through the beautification of funeral homes and donation of ambulances to Nagarparishad Ghugus, we aim to improve emergency and medical services for the community. Because a healthier community is a stronger community.
Education is at the core of our vision for a better future. Our initiatives focus on making quality education accessible, fostering skill development, and creating opportunities for lifelong learning. We support tribal youth in pursuing overseas education, equipping them with the skills to uplift their communities. By collaborating with local public and private schools, we have contributed to renovating facilities, enhancing infrastructure, distributing educational materials and uniforms, and providing career development guidance to students. Through G D Goenka Lloyds Public School and Vidya Raj Niketan School, we offer CBSE-based education that nurtures academic excellence, social awareness, and emotional intelligence. Because every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
Women have the power to drive change and strengthen communities. Our commitment to gender equality goes beyond words, we actively hire, train, and empower women by providing them with opportunities that match their skills and aspirations. Through the Lloyds Vanya Garment Centre, over 200 women from 32 villages have produced 40,000 garments in just nine months, creating a sustainable model for rural economic empowerment. Many women have also stepped into non-traditional roles, excelling as heavy to light vehicle drivers and taking on key responsibilities in our safety and security department. By breaking barriers and fostering independence, we are paving the way for a more inclusive and empowered future.
Youth development is the key to unlocking a world of possibilities. Our mission is to empower local youth through Skill Development by offering trade education across our operational locations. These initiatives equip individuals with essential trade skills, opening doors to better opportunities and self-reliance. From technical training in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work to soft skills like communication and teamwork, we strive to build a skilled and confident workforce, ready to shape a brighter future.
Sustainable livelihoods empower individuals to thrive, not just survive, and we are committed to fostering well-being and creating lasting change within local communities. Our initiatives focus on equipping individuals with the skills and opportunities needed for sustainable livelihoods.
Through the Lloyds Garment Unit in Hedri village, over 200 women have received training and employment, enabling financial independence. Trade education and hands-on training to young individuals, ensuring they have the skills to build a brighter future. Additionally, we support self-employment for farmers by promoting the growth and sale of fresh, pesticide-free vegetables, helping them secure a stable and sustainable source of income.
Our initiatives in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur districts focus on road construction, electricity provision, borewell and hand pump installations, overhead tanks, community halls, and pond rejuvenation, ensuring essential resources reach those in need. From sewage water treatment and school borewell maintenance to pipeline repairs and beautification of parks and ponds, our completed projects have significantly improved local living conditions. A baseline survey also enabled the installation of a 65 kw transformer, 67 electricity poles, and electric meters for all 48 households, illuminating homes and bringing new opportunities to the community.
Infrastructure is the pillar of regional development, and we are creating lasting change through impactful projects.
Since its inception in 2023, Lloyds Sports Academy has been dedicated to providing quality training in athletics, archery, football, volleyball, kabaddi, and self-defense. What began with a summer camp for 30 children has grown into a thriving academy near our Konsari plant, offering opportunities to even more young athletes. With experienced coaches, including former state and national-level competitors, LSA has become a hub for sporting excellence in the region.
Today, more than 300 children from nearby villages train under our extensive support, ensuring that financial constraints never stand in the way of talent and passion for sports.
