With extensive expertise in the metals and mining sector coupled with our positioning as a high-quality yet a low-cost producer, we are venturing into steel production with a 1.2 MTPA long products and 3 MTPA flat products offerings in the near future.
The 1.2 MTPA long products ISP will be based in Ghugus and will offer TMT and wire rods. The 3 MTPA flat products ISP will be based in Konsari and will offer Hot rolled coils.
Lloyds Metals is transforming the way iron ore is transported by constructing two underground iron ore slurry pipelines, each with a capacity of 20 MTPA, spanning 300 kilometers to Konsari and Ghugus. The first pipeline is set to be completed by Q1 2025, while the second is
targeted for Q4 2027.
Additionally, a downhill beneficiation plant will be installed to enhance slurry production and transportation efficiency.
This approach leverages slurry transport to reduce both costs and carbon emissions compared to conventional methods. A dewatering process will also be implemented to produce iron ore filter cake, which will be utilized for pellet production.
